The Journal of Economics and Management Research

The Journal of Economics and Management Research is an interdisciplinary scientific journal in the field of economics, business management, national economy, structural and social policies, innovation perspectives and institutional capability. The Journal of Economics and Management Research, a Scientific Journal of the University of Latvia, is published once per year.

A Research Journal of the University of Latvia

The thematic social science Journal of Economics and Management Research was launched in 2012, with a scheduled 1 issue per year. The Journal of Economics and Management Research is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal, which encompasses the niche of studies represented by the fields of economics and management research. The selection of published articles is realised through a double–blind review process. Authors are invited to contribute articles of a theoretical or empirical nature that address critical perspectives on the processes of innovation, and with regard to policies in the fields of transformation economics, national economy structural policies, institutional capability, management, social problems and social policies. The Editorial Board of the Journal also welcomes articles devoted to interdisciplinary research in areas concerning the interdependence of economic, social, technological, organizational, business management and policy. The main objective of the journal is to promote international and multi-disciplinary research on promising and sustainable innovations, thus stimulating co-operation between academics, policy makers and the business world, by contributing to the advancement of knowledge about the role of innovation in sustainable development. 

The Journal of Economics and Management Research brings together academics from universities throughout the world and provides a forum for advanced research and publications dealing with contemporary innovation. Twenty experts from 10 countries have been invited to join the Editorial Board. The Journal publishes articles in the English language. The Journal of Economics and Management Research is a continuation of the series of scientific publications realised by the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Latvia and which, until 2011, were published under the University of Latvia series: Scientific Papers “Economics and Management Sciences” (Latvijas Universitātes Raksti. Ekonomika un vadības zinātne).

The Journal of Economics and Management Research publishes original peer-reviewed research papers as well as contemporary book reviews.

Schedule:

Publications are planned for release in October every year.

The Journal „Humanities and Social Sciences Latvia”

The Journal „Humanities and Social Sciences Latvia” brings together academics from universities throughout the world and provides a forum for advanced research and publications dealing with contemporary and historical issues in the humanities and social sciences.

The Journal „Humanities and Social Sciences Latvia” is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal, which encompasses a broad spectrum of studies represented by the fields of humanities and social sciences. The selection of published articles is realised through a double–blind review process. Authors are invited to contribute articles, which relate to the fields of study referred to above including: economics, management, accounting, finance, economic history, politics, linguistics, law, education, history, information technology, folklore, psychology, sociology, anthropology and similar. The Editorial Board of the Journal also welcomes articles devoted to interdisciplinary research in these areas. The main objective of the journal is to promote international and multi-disciplinary research in the humanities and social sciences.

The Journal „Humanities and Social Sciences Latvia” publishes original peer-reviewed research articles, as well as contemporary book reviews. The Journal has been accepted for indexation by EBSCO Information Services, the world's most prolific aggregator of full text journals, magazines and other sources. The full text of the journal will be found on EBSCO’s academic databases within the coming months.

SCHEDULE

The Journal publishes two issues per year – in June and December.

October 31 for December issue

Articles to be considered for inclusion must be submitted in English.
