On May 5, Prime Minister of Latvia Krišjānis Kariņš will deliver an open discussion on current issues in Latvian politics and economics. Discussion will take place at the University of Latvia, Faculty of Business, Management and Economics in professor Edgars Vasermanis auditorium from 14.00 to 15.00. Aspazijas boulevard 5 in Riga.

Discussion will be opened and addressed by Dean of the Faculty of Business, Management and Economics, Dr.admin. professor Gundars Bērziņš. It will also be broadcasted via University of Latvia Facebook profile and Youtube.

Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss political and economic processes currently important to Latvian society and state.

Krišjānis Kariņš is a Latvian politician (Association of parties “Jaunā Vienotība”). Before becoming Prime Minister in 2019, K. Kariņš was a Member of the European Parliament for ten years, as well as a Minister of Economics and a Member of the Saeima. Before getting involved in politics, K. Kariņš was an entrepreneur. K. Kariņš holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
