The Faculty of Business, Management and Economics is the largest faculty of the University of Latvia; we offer studies and scientific research in the field of economics, management and public administration, which correspond to the contemporary needs of Latvia, EU and other countries.
Faculty was established in 1919, after foundation of the University of Latvia. During years with several reorganizations in 1997 faculty was named as the Faculty of Economics and management.
In 2017 in order to show wide range of offered study programmes and fields, faculty was renamed as the Faculty of Business, Management and Economics.
Now faculty offers 5 programs taught completely in English to applicants from all over the world. Study groups are mixed with full time students and international incoming exchange students, so to provide worldwide intercultural perspective and experience to our students.
Some activities available to students:
- At the premises of the Faculty of Business, management and economics is located UL student business incubator, which provides students with all necessary help to startup their own business. This gives to students first view in business environment and try out their provided products and services in real market. Further information: biznesainkubators@lu.lv
- All full time students of the Faculty of Business, management and economics can participate in several international exchange programs with granted scholarships. University of Latvia is a member of several International projects, networks and programs which offers to student’s different kind of mobility types, study mobility, traineeship mobility research mobility etc. This gives an amazing possibility to our students to gain international study/ work experience during studies.

The University of Latvia has their own Student accommodation, costs varies from 100 – 270 EUR. Student accommodation is located approx. 20 minutes ride with trolleybus from the Faculty of Business, Management and Economics.
