Professor Trond Randøy

Trond Randøy is Professor of International Business and Finance at University of Agder in Kristiansand, Norway. Professor Randøy has a PhD from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Oregon. 

His research interest focuses on Corporate Governance and International Business. He has authored more than 50 articles in journals such as; Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Corporate Governance: an International Review, Journal of Business Ethics Journal, and Journal of Banking and Finance. Professor Randøy has been leading several national and international research projects with both public and private funding.

Professor Randøy is currently serving on four corporate boards in Europe and Africa. He has over the last 25 years been a co-founder of several university-affiliated firms in Norway, in the US and in Tanzania. He has also served on supervisory boards of European and Asian NGOs.

Professor Pierpaolo MARANO

Pierpaolo Marano is a Law and Regulation Professor at the University of Latvia, the University of Malta, and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart - Milan. In addition, prof. Marano has been a visiting professor/lecturer at several universities, and he is a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Reading and an Honorary Fellow at the University of Hong Kong – Asian Institute of International Financial Law.

A widely sought speaker on insurance law with over 140 academic papers and one of the Italian Code of Private Insurance drafters, he serves as an academic member of the Insurance and Reinsurance Stakeholders Group at the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA). In addition, he is the Director of the AIDA Europe Research Series on Insurance Law and Regulation, published by Springer and indexed and abstracted by SCOPUS.
